DESCRIPTION:\nHow has being of Lebanese descent influenced your life?\n\n\n\nAll ALHS members, their families and friends are invited to contribute. What is your livedexperience of being of Lebanese heritage? You are invited to share this experience in whateverform you choose. It can be one sentence, a paragraph, a longer piece, a poem or even a soundrecording.\n\n\n\nYou might write about a person, an event, an object, a special memory, a photograph, a smell,a taste, a plant/tree or personal experiences. The contributions will be put together in bookform.Please submit your contribution/s via email to Yvonne Matta at yvonnematta@yahoo.com.auand Margaret Clapham at m.jclapham@bigpond.com by 31 May 2025.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBelow are some questions to consider:\n\n\n\n❖ What is your Lebanese heritage? How far back is your connection to Lebanon? Were you,your parents, grandparents, or great grandparents born in Syria/Lebanon?❖ When did you first realise you were of Lebanese background?❖ What was Lebanese about your childhood and upbringing?❖ When do/did you feel Lebanese?❖ Is there something you do/like/think/feel that is particularly Lebanese?❖ Have you ever felt you are not Lebanese enough?❖ Have you ever felt you are not Australian enough?❖ What about language – Arabic, English? What does it feel like not understanding what isbeing said?\n\n\n\nWe look forward to receiving your responses and hope many of you will participate.\n\n\n\n\n
