Join Dr Anne Monsour, historian, author, and President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society (ALHS) as she leads a walking tour of West End and South Brisbane highlighting the Lebanese presence, influence, and legacy since the 1880s.

This fascinating walk uncovers stories of the ‘Syrian’ hawkers and shopkeepers of the nineteenth century through the twentieth century to the present day, highlighting stories of entrepreneurs, hard work, community spirit and family businesses many of which are household names in Brisbane.

The tour concludes at St Clement’s Melkite Catholic Church followed by morning tea in the church hall.
