Far North Coast meeting of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society

We invite you to a special meeting of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society to commence a branch of the Society on the Far North Coast of NSW.

We will also discuss commencing a project to collate the history of local Lebanese families and their activities.

Venue:            Lismore City Library, Ground floor meeting room at 110 Magellan Street, Lismore City

Dr Anne Monsour:

Currently president of the ALHS and author of Not Quite White: Lebanese and the White Australia Policy 1880 to 1947 (2010); and editor of Raw Kibbeh: Generations of Lebanese Enterprise (2009) and Here to Stay: Lebanese in Toowoomba and South West Queensland (2012).

Magistrate Anne Thacker:

Queensland Magistrate since 2000 and ALHS board member. Anne grew up in Lismore and was educated at OLHC School South Lismore and St Mary’s College, Lismore. She has researched and written about her Lebanese family history.
